I'm Matt. Tech Nomad is just me.

I've been pulling electronics apart and putting them back together since I was a kid. I have a certificate as an Electronics Technician. I've worked on industrial CNC machines and semi truck computers, and I've done warranty repair work for computer companies, as well as many, many side projects. These days I spend a lot of my time at the bench bringing old gear back, like Sony disc changers that nobody makes parts for anymore. I also design and build my own circuit boards.

I started Tech Nomad because I like fixing things that people were told to throw away, and because I think people around here should have someone to call when a shop says no.

When you message me, you're talking to the person who will do the repair. If I don't think I can fix something, I'll say so.
